This course\u00a0provides foundational economic literacy for learners without prior economics coursework, including but not limited to individuals entering an MBA program. The focus is on economics at the micro level, on recognizing and interpreting economic reasoning\u2014rather than performing analysis\u2014so learners can engage confidently with economic concepts in both real-world business cases, and MBA courses that apply these concepts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Module 1: This module introduces you to the role of economics in business decision-making, discussing the foundational idea that economics is about choice under constraint and exploring incentives and opportunity cost.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Module 2: Building on a foundational knowledge of the role of economics in business decision-making, you&#8217;ll learn about demand, how economists think about cost, and the impact of those perspectives on business decisions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Module 3: Expanding on an understanding of markets and demands, this module will introduce you to market structures and discusses why the level of competition in an industry fundamentally shapes firms&#8217; behavior and strategic decision-making.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">As this course becomes active immediately upon registration, it is not eligible for refunds.
